Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Greet customers and provide them with excellent customer service.

· Checks product to make sure it meets SGP quality standards.

· Monitor and assists in preventing spoilage.

· Arrives to workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends required training and meetings.

· Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques.

· Maximizes sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.

· Follows and complies, or ensures compliance with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.

· Maintains, or ensures maintenance of, a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with SGP cleanliness and safety standards.

· Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.

· Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.

· Performs other duties as assigned by store and/or regional leadership.

· Verifies ad prices, hangs current sale signs, and removes out-of-date sale signs.

· Unloads trucks and verifies deliveries and inspects for any damages.

· Discard all expired items according to company policy and place near expiry ones on special promotions.

· Organize merchandise on shelves and restock them when they become empty.

· Perform routine inventory counts and submit reports to Inventory Clerk.

· Perform stocking duties such as lifting, rotating products, and facing out.

· Answer incoming phone calls from both the Office and customers.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds and able to stand for an entire shift.

· Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
